Stylish and Practical : Breastfeeding Friendly Fashion for Modern Mums
Breastfeeding can be a beautiful journey for so many mothers, with my first born I had a pretty smooth journey. I couldn't complain too much. However, my second was another story, and like many it often comes with its own set of challenges, especially being able to find clothing that is both fashionable and functional.
We are in 2024, as a nursing mum we no longer need to compromise on style for the sake of convenience. In 2021, I started Rumi & Sol a breastfeeding friendly fashion label that allows mums to look and feel comfortable, confident, and empowering.
During postpartum, gone are the days of oversized, unflattering nursing tops that that "big brands" market. As a fellow nursing mother, I have recognised that struggle that we feel, and have designed clothing that accommodates the needs of breastfeeding mums without having to sacrificing style.
The Functional Features of our designs, What sets our fashion label apart from the rest? Our designs are purposeful, and specific that prioritizes both style and functionality. Majority of our designs have vertical invisible zips in the bust, allowing for easy access for breastfeeding while maintaining privacy. Some of our other pieces are designed with functional buttons along the front for opening access. Most of our bust are designs with shirring bust, ensuring the comfort for mum during her changing body throughout postpartum.
